Wichtige RRZE-Information zur Nutzung von M365 für Studierende / Important RRZE information on use of M365 for students

An die Studierenden der FAU
mit einem Microsoft-Benutzerkonto <IdM-Kennung>@FAUERLNUE.onmicrosoft.com

Zum 31. August 2022 läuft die Extra-Kennung zur Nutzung von Office 365 auf Privatgeräten aus. Zukünftig wird es nur noch eine Kennung für Microsoft-Software geben.

Alle Benutzerkonten lautend auf

<IdM-Kennung>@FAUERLNUE.onmicrosoft.com

werden zum 31. August 2022 durch Microsoft unwiederbringlich gelöscht, die Programme sind nicht mehr nutzbar und gegebenenfalls zu diesem Benutzerkonto gehörende Daten in der Microsoft-Cloud werden durch Microsoft gelöscht.

  • Sichern Sie gegebenenfalls in der Microsoft-Cloud gespeicherte Dateien rechtzeitig vor dem 31. August 2022.
  • Eine Wiederherstellung Ihrer persönlichen Dateien durch das RRZE ist nicht möglich.

Die neue, ab sofort zu verwendende Kennung lautet:

<IdM-Kennung>@fauad.fau.de

Innerhalb der Office 365-Anwendungen müssen Sie die verwendete Lizenz ändern. Wie man von einer bisherigen Lizenzierung über <IdM-Kennung>@FAUERLNUE.onmicrosoft.com auf das neue Benutzerkonto mit der Kennung <IdM-Kennung>@fauad.fau.de umstellt, ist auf den Webseiten des RRZE im Detail beschrieben:

Hinweis zur Nutzung von OneNote:

Der Zugriff auf OneNote-Notizbücher, die mit der Lizenz <IdM-Kennung>@FAUERLNUE.onmicrosoft.com erstellt wurden, sollte sehr sorgfältig geprüft und getestet werden, bevor das Benutzerkonto und die damit verbundenen Cloud-Dienste am 31. August 2022 deaktiviert sind. Informationen sind in der oben genannten Anleitung enthalten.

with a Microsoft user account <IdM-identifier>@FAUERLNUE.onmicrosoft.com

On 31 August 2022, the extra ID for using Office 365 on private devices will expire. In future, there will only be one identifier for Microsoft software.

All user accounts in the name of

<IdM-identifier>@FAUERLNUE.onmicrosoft.com

will be irretrievably deleted by Microsoft, the programmes will no longer be usable and any data belonging to this user account in the Microsoft Cloud will be deleted by Microsoft.

  • If applicable, back up files stored in the Microsoft Cloud in good time before 31 August 2022.
  • It is not possible for the RRZE to restore your personal files.

The new identifier to be used with immediate effect is

<IdM-identifier>@fauad.fau.de.

Within the Office 365 applications, you need to change the license you are using. How to switch from a previous licensing via <IdM-identifier>@FAUERLNUE.onmicrosoft.com to the new user account with the identifier <IdM-identifier>@fauad.fau.de is described in detail on the RRZE websites:

Note on the use of OneNote:

Access to OneNote notebooks created with the <IdM-identifier>@FAUERLNUE.onmicrosoft.com license should be very carefully reviewed and tested before the user account and associated cloud services are disabled on 31 August 2022. Information is provided in the instructions mentioned above.
